Overview

The Trail Kit is our most popular kit. Whether you’re looking for a cosmetic upgrade or going for more ground clearance, this is the perfect kit to hit the trail.

Whether you’re looking to bring the front of your truck up to eliminate the stock rake, improve the OEM ride and capability, or compensate for weighted front modifications, Peak Suspension has designed this coil-over conversion kit for your Chevy Colorado ZR2.

Through extensive on and off-road testing we have been able to modify the ride height of the front of your ZR2 without compromising the awesome capability of the OEM DSSV Multimatic shocks!

This kit allows you to select a custom rate and then adjust the threaded collar to your desired ride height from 0″ – 2.25″ of lift as well as a rear add-a-leaf to provide 1.0″-1.5″ and 700lbs load capacity depending on weight.

Features:

  • Threaded adjustable spring perch 0-2.25″ height adjustment
  • Selectable rates for fine tuning and weight compensation (bumpers, winch, etc)
  • Black anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum Construction
  • Designed and Manufactured in the USA

65k miles and counting Gotta give credit where credit is due. Alpha_zr2 off Instagram here, for those who know. This 3.6l gas Zr2 has been spec’d with the 600 lb springs since the Trail Kit first went on at around 6k miles. After 65k miles, the springs have held up great. They’ve seen hot desert summers (110+), cold northern winters (-30+), they’ve been jumped, abused, and daily’d for 3 years. 100% chance I’d go this route again if i had to restart the build. With that being said; 1. If you plan to throw a bumper on there, get the 600 lb springs. If you plan to leave the oem front end, stick with 550 lb (this applies only to gas variants) 2. Be prepared to bust CV boots. Even with the diff drop, our trucks are plagued with frail boots. I recommend keeping spare boots or cv axles on hand/in the garage, especially if you wheel the truck
